i think my car might just be dying with all the problems I've had recently but here goes. I noticed yesterday morning that my engine seemed to be bogging down going up hills, I shrugged it off to cold wea6ther, then today the same thing only alot worse could barely pull up a hill at 40mph in 3rd gear (94 5 speed 2.2) it sounds as if I have an exhaust leak but at Idle the car is quite as a mouse, rev the gas and its loud from the muffler not under the hood. Could a blown glasspack cause me to lose power? I have no check engine light or anything, the car isnt overheating its actually running great after replacing the radiator, until now. I'm not very familiar with exhaust leaks to they cuase a real noticable difference in power? I had the glass pack put on to pass inspection back in april as it was cheaper then the OEM muffler, well I liked the somewhat louder sound so I kept it, and ran great up until this weekend and I noticed my gas milage dropped majorly I was getting almost 33 mpg and since this weekend it has dropped to about 20, plugs and wires have all been replaced recently (last 8,000 miles) all new cooling system. I think I'm well over due for an oil change but I use high mileage synthetic and the bottom says about every 5000 miles and I may be at 6 or 7000 since my last change I lost the tag and the garage doesnt keep records, could that have something to do with it?
Any help would be great......thanks to everyone who has helped in the past.
I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!
any water in your gas maybe? try a gas line antifreeze or other product. also could be something like wires, plugs or coil,. it maybe not misfiring causing an enginelight to come on but you could still be losing power that way.just some thoughts.. also have a look at your air filter. your car needs to be able to breath good..hope this helps
Fuel Pump, but most of the time it's a sudden stall. Clogged cat, but normally throws codes.
Those are two common problems I have experienced with similar situations.
The local garage told me to change my fuel filter first to see if that helps........would that cause it?

Oh and it runs fine if on level ground. I can hear the feul pump come on when I turn the key over before starting so I dont hink its the fuel pump as I've had no stalling what so ever. I did notice this morning that it was a little better but still bogging under strain up hills.
