i have a 2000 cavalier z24 (auto). this just started to happen recently 2 weeks ago. when i come to a stop and then go again, i hear a thump noise just once. and feels like somethings shifting underneath as i go from a standstill n then acclerate. im not very knowledgeable about this..just wondering if anyone has experienced it or might no what the problem is. thanks!

might be the control arm bushing have some one else just move it back and forth and if your tire moves you could possibly have a bad bushing

motor mount. check it. may as well replace them both they are cheap enough.

ya its starting to make sence thanks guys. i got prothane motor mounts already (not installed) but soon too be. do you think its worth buying prothane arm bushings? is it alot of labour?
