Yesterday we got 9" of snow. I just moved the car back and forth while I shovled. I got stuck a but and floored it get it free. Once moved I noticed something leaking....a yellow fluid..not quite urine in color, but more like gatorade.
So I started looking...not motor oil. Not brake fluid/Clutch fluid. Not antifreeze(Still the original dexcool). Gear oil? Probably not...didn't smell and the fluid froze....FROZE you say...yes. It was basically yellowish water.
SO i get the carboard test out. Let it run over the cardboard...no leaks. Drive it back and forth over the cardboard...nothing.
Look under it and I see that some snow was still on the cat converter...it was a YELLOWISH color...WTF? New to me....it seemed like the snow changed color when in contact with the converter....
This ever happen to anyone?
Sounds to me either motor oil or power steering fluid.

Neither fluid is yellow.
Im going to go with that the yellow snow melted off the cat and made a puddle.
