Recently the oil pump in my 2002 sunfire went out, and I didn't know. This cause my bearings to overheat and damage my camshaft. I have tried replacing the bearing and oil pump and hoping that it would start work. But it didn't it still makes a noise. So now I am searching for things to do, wheter to replace it (which i am having troubles finding an OEM camshaft replacement) and also tyring to fix it if possible.
Any suggestions?

did you prime the oil pump when you installed it? what motor do you have?
Sorry i have the 2.2L. And im not sure if it was primed, is there a way i can check. my step dad was the one who installed the new oil pump
