yes those are the bushings youre looking for. if your mechanic tells you he cant put those in then leave. lol. they are ridiculously easy to do.
the only reason you would have to replace a whole control arm would be if its bent, which can happen if you slide into a curb or something along those lines. the ball joints can go bad, and the bushings can go bad. they sell the control arm with a ball joint and bushings already installed but thats gonna be much more expensive. if everything is straight then keep the ones youve got. unless your looking for a real upgrade, then get
these
if youre going to do trans mounts i would reccomend doing engine mounts at the same time. ive heard of several occasions where people have upgraded their manual trans mount inserts and kept the original engine mounts and it tore apart the upgraded trans mounts within a few months.
hope that helps a bit, and good luck
Donīt think so... The control arm bushings do not look like that. Just replaced mines with a kit from rockauto.com or autopartswarehause, made by Moog, btw you will need a hidraulic press or a strong bench press to get them in. Just follow the link and see the pictures

I appreciate the responses but getting two different answers here
My mechanic said I should get them replaced as soon as I can or it will start to cause unwanted wear and tear elsewhere. I drive about 250k a day 5 days a week so that's not helping much
And I wanted to getem fixed next weekend.
And good advice on the tranny mount, I might put off putting it in then, since i'm a bit scared of putting a new motor mount in and not liking the added vibrations...
The SMG whole control arm kit looks tempting too...
The ones from TTR are poly bushings, not rubber like the moogs. The poly ones are the same ones that John and I used in our control arm GP and no one has had any problems with them.

what he said. they look a little different, but theyre much stiffer than the mush GM puts in there from the factory.
Okay cool. So the one's I ordered from ttr ARE the one's that I need replaced right? Sorry, just a bit confused still.
Oh and how bad would the vibrations be from engine and tranny mounts?
the vibes from my ttr engine mounts arent too bad at all really. ive heard that the RKSport upper insert can give some really nasty vibes when coupled with their lower dogbone, but i havent really had anything to complain about with the ttr full replacement. well worth the money imo.

I'm kinda scared now... I just ordered the insert and dogbone package from TTR.
