2.2 engine mounts

I recently finished doing all the motor and tranny mounts yesterday when I replaced the dogbone. I had done the top mount about 5 months ago and replaced it with an Anchor brand mount. After doing the dogbone, I noticed that the motor still seemed to be torqueing quite a bit when shifting into gear, so I decided to check the top mount in case it had already broken. I was amazed to find that both the allen screws that hold the top mount into the bracket were completely gone!!!!!

Now I'm very careful when doing any repair and I seriously doubt I had forgottten to install the screws when I first replaced it. I all can figure is that due to the other worn out mounts there was undue stress on the top mount OR I simply didn't tighten them enough. Of course this time I used some thread locker.

But now the motor is nice and tight and there is very little movement when shifting into gear. I hear a little bit of a squeak from the top mount, but I expect it will quite down as a little dirt and dust settle on the new squeeky clean mount. I also noticed that with all new mounts, I feel a lot more vibration from the engine at idle. It's not terrible and I expect it smoothe out as the new mounts get broken in.

How is the anchor brand mount working for you? I'm kinda debating whether to get a couple from the dealer (expansive), or get the anchor ones from autozone...

No problems so far. Other than the screws coming out!
