I have a 95 cav. sounds like I need to replace at least the left front bearing, is it very difficult to replace and also does anyone know what size socket it takes to remove the hub bolt Thanks Tim
I've done 3 pairs now. I've got it down to about 20 min. Shouldn't be any longer than an hour if you don't know what you're doing. Jack up the car, take the brakes off, then you'll be staring at the hub/bearing assembly. There are 3 torx bolts that hold it in, along with the 32mm axle nut. Install is reverse of removal.

its a 30mm axle nut, at least it was on my 91 sunbird and co workers 03 cavi, the torx is a T55
I'm getting ready to replace one of my bearings today. Just for clarification, is it 30 or 32mm for the axle nut? also are the caliper bolts hex head? if so what size are they? I'm trying to gather up everything before i try to take it apart today. Anything else that I should know? The guide that was linked earlier in the thread appears to be down now.
Axle nut is 30mm deep 1/2 inch impact socket, caliper bolt is a 3/8 hex bit, You will need T55 torx bit for youre wheel bearing bolts, Also need some High temp bearing grease for the rear seal and inner hub area. Also u might want to get a breaker bar or piece of pipe to use for leverage to undo the bolts strut nuts, Then are on there tight. I know the ones I did on my cavalier were on there tough.
