My car was running fine, for those of you that don't know, its a 1999 Z24 with the L.O. mani, and internal work done, just today my car ran fine so I went to go put gas in the car, everything went normally untill I went to start it and the car didn't start right away instead there was a popping noise( thought was the intake), and instantly the check engine light went on the dash and the RPM gauge stay constant surging from 900-2000 rpm, any ideas what could be causing this? I thought was vacuum lines but I cant see anything causing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this isn't the only problem I'm having as it seems like the shift cable is a little bent and need replacing as I have a very hard time shifting gears now, and I'd love to have all this fixed before the bash this year
