Who makes a good, economical code scanner/reader for a 1999 cavalier? It is ok if the scanner is vehicle specific,i will be driving this car for awhile. thanks!! Ben
check out autozone...
they lend out scanners for free and they also sell them, they have some that are not to pricey ..
You can get a cheaper ODBII scanner for around like, $50-60 bucks. Most of them are universal too, but others have the ability to read car specific codes.

If you have a laptop, I'd recommend something like the ELM327 scanner I got some time ago. There are tons on eBay like
this one. The software can be found free online to do ODBII code scanning and code clearing. More advanced features like logging are usually in "for a fee" software packages.
