To start out Im pretty damn pist off with this car, I want to burn this thing to the ground. Ok all of this stuff aside, what all controls the spark (meaning what tells the coil packs to make spark) Ive changed the coil packs, ICM, crankshaft sensor and checked all the wires. whats left?????????????? Im getting desperate for help. Thank you.
What's it doing when you turn the key?
It turns over. Its getting gas I know because I didn't move fast enough from in front of the plug hole and it got turned over and sprayed compressed air and gas at me. Ive checked all plugs and tested all wires. no F'en spark. It turns over just fine. When I got the car it had a blown head gasket and you had to pump the gas pedal repeatedly to get it started like it was caburated. Ive got the junkyard pulling a computer for it but if its not what controls spark then I don't want to waste more money, granted it's only $35.
Under 400 RPM the ICM itself will fire your spark plugs. At 0* advance, but it fires them. This relies on a power source obviously, and input from the crank sensor. After 400rpm your ECU will activate an override signal, and then the ICM will fire when the ECU tells it to.

How have you verified that you have no spark?
Have you made any recent repairs or modifications to the car?

I tested the plugs by putting them in the boot and held it close to the head and looked to see spark (nothing from all 4). before this happend I replaced the subframe. I started the car after putting in the subframe and it ran for about ten minutes then died, I started it again ran for about ten seconds this time. I went to check for spark then broke all 4 plugs and then pulled the head to swap it out and there was puddles of anti-freese in all four cylynders. put back together and still nothing. I know this is alot but I tried to shorten it up as much as possible.
you need to get a known good coil pack. even if you buy them new they can sometimes be faulty.did you change the head gasket while you were at it? also make sure you have the right firing order. your plug should nt be to tight.

I'm pretty sure that holding it "close to the head" is not good enough. You need to complete the circuit, so you'll need to have the plug actually sitting on a metal surface so it has a good ground, or it won't fire.
And whenever you pull the head off you're going to get some coolant in the cylinders, that's nothing to worry about.

Even when the plug touched the head = no spark. the coolant in the cylinders thing I know about that when you pull the head, the thing about this thou was it was already rusting because the car sat for a month and a half befor changing the subframe.
