Enhanced Traction System no workee

Hi Guys,

The ETS light is staying lit on the dash, this apparently means that the ETS is disabled.
The ETS is activated/deactivated by a switch on the shift knob. When we push the shift knob button,
the light goes off until you let off the button and then comes back on.

Here is the first question:
Is that switch in the shift supposed to stay in or is it a momentary signal?
What I am asking is, can it be that I have a broken detent in the shift knob
keeping the switch from staying in or do I have another problem.

Second Question:
The manual also said that if the park brake was left on I would
get the ETS solid light. So there is obviously a switch on the park brake.
Is there an indicator on the dash that shows emergency brake on?
If not, anyone know if the switch is under the shift knob boot or under
the car?

Anything else that will keep my ETS light on?

thanks...gary
