Muffler question.
Friday, April 24, 2009 11:55 AM
To start off, I'm not an expert at exhaust things. My friend has a Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler that is just sitting around and collecting dust. The muffler has a 2.5" inlet, my Cavalier is stock, motor and tranny and what not. My question is, if I put that Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler on my car will it cause a problem with back pressure and what not? Is it going to harm my engine in any way or will it be safe to use that muffler? Thanks in advance!

You'll be just fine but you will need a reducer as I believe the stock exhaust is only 1 7/8"

that, and it will be insanely loud, and probably high pitched with the stock pipe.
