Yes another Service light ?
Monday, April 20, 2009 7:11 AM
I did a search and can not find the problem I am haveing with the service light being on.

I narrowed it down to the rear lights on the trunk, but thats as far as I have gotten.

My situation is this. I turn my lights on and all work, except the trunk lights. Flashers work all around and brake lights, only on corners tho. Once I try the high beams to turn them on, they flash and go to ADL's only. Any clue as to what and where I can start besides fuse panel ? I looked at all of them and none blown, even the bulbs are good.

My grounds are all tight, includeing the various extra grounds I have added. Same goes for my power side.

Thank you for any help.

3rd brake spoiler/rear deck lights should not pop the service light, mine have gone out many times without the light. Usually it comes on for the headlights...make sure low and high beams are good, the DRL relay is working, and if the DRL was bypassed that the wire going to the bcm is grounded.

Found that when I try to use highbeams they click off and DRL come on. I can flash them, but they won't stay on. Guessing this is the prob with service light being on.

Haven't figured out the trunk lights, but not to worried about it with the other lights working like they should.

have u replaced any of the bulbs? make sure u got the correct bulbs in there.
Did you replace the headlight assembly? with maybe an aftermarket one? that might be the problem too.

Haven't changed bulbs or put aftermarket assemblies on. Both bulbs work as far as low and highbeams. Just wont stay in high mode. Thinking it may be switch or relay. Not sure where the relays are atm, but looking them up.
