run it with the overflow tank cap off till all the air is out and plus with 2000 up you have the hose by the cap that lets all the air out

8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100

The service manual for my '99 says the 2.4 (LD9) engine has a "coolant air bleed valve located on the top of the thermostat bypass pipe/heater pipe assembly." Further, it says, "Close the valve once a continuous stream of coolant is expelled from the valve."

or do what darkstars does with a cool ass vacuum cap and vacuum the system then stick a hose in the coolant and release the vacuum, sucks it right up into the system and removes all the air. bastard... haha

Just fill the resivoir and run the car with the cap closed. The thermostat has to open to let air out. It's a reciprocal system so air will get back to the resivoir. It's not like a hydraullic system where air remains trapped.
