2001 Z24 Starts then Dies, Theftt Mode/Security Ignition Switch? Help?

2001 Z24 will fire up and then dies immediately security light was flashing in the on position so I left it on for awhile and still got nothing. Whats worse is the car is sold and tthe kid wants it asap so needs to be fixed.

i had a sunfire, the ignition went bad, went and got anotehr at a yard. tossed it in and it worked fine. the part with the key it was....
