so on my way home earlier I was passed by a neon..I shifted from 5th to 3rd and gunned it to redline and then shifted normally..well I passed him blah blah so then I was going up a hill and when I tried going to 3rd again my car seemed to have no power and was acting strange. I went to 4th gear then 5th but was barely going up the hill..once I got to the top I coasted to my driveway and the car stalled at the stop sign. In the driveway I checked the oil and found that there was none..yea, not good I know. So we put some oil in it and it is not running very smoothly at all. Think I blew it? I'm taking it to the garage for a check up tomorrow. wish me luck!
pretty good chance...compression test will tell for sure
well sp, don't go from 5th to 3rd. and again buddy, don't take it to redline. just an extra security. i hope for your sake you didn't blow your motor, cuz i've been there and it's no fun. hopefully we'll still get to the paint this summer. but if you do get rid of it, you should send your kit and your wing this way buddy ol pal. all donations to the eco are accepted.
haha thanx Tom, I'll keep that in mind. If her time is up then I might consider buying a POS to get me through the next school year while saving up money to fix up the J. I'll make good money next year at school so we'll see. I'm hoping it's not too bad but we'll see. If I do give up on it then I'll def hook ya up with w/e parts u need. I reeaally want to keep it, so Idk. I'll keep u posted.
well the plus is if it is blown and you park it, rebuild the motor and whatever else how you want it from the ground up. it would be a nice breath of life back into the z. it would be a gorgeous powerful car.
so yea the engine was effed. I went to a junk yard and got a motor out of a 00 grand am. since I'm swapping motors..how easy is the 2.3 HO intake mani to install. I mean is it a direct bolt on/fit?
nope, pretty decent amount of work, and no proven gains. I vote put stock @!#$ back on
