Hard Knocking in rear (Not Struts)

Hello guys, I just purchased a 98 Z24 with 120k miles. I bought it as my second vehicle, I drive a 02 M3 and it's not very practical for everyday use... gas-wise.
I got the Z for $700 with basically one annoying issue issue. When I go over bumps the rear suspension KNOCKS very hard. The previous owner replaced both
struts in the back because he thought that was the issue. But I'm lead to believe it has something to do with sway bar bushings?
Can anyone enlighten me that may know a little bit more about these vehicles?
Thanks a lot fellas!

did the previous owner look at the strut mounts? The only other thing that would come to mind would be the bushings on the rear beam to body mount is worn out.

Yeah, it probably is the strut mounts.. I think he replaced the struts himself. He must have overlooked the mounts.
How hard would this be for me to do myself? I am a very inclined DIYer

Yep, and a spring compressor.

Very easy. I just did mine and they were toast, the rears were almost completely hollowed out, and the fronts were messed up too.
