Hi guys, just looking for some advice and sorry but this may be an old topic. I have a 2001 cavalier 4 spd auto base model with the 2.2, and lately its been wanting to stall out while im driving at intown speeds (about 60k or so) It will start fine but once its warm and at normal driving, when i feather the throttle, there will be nothing there and ill have to tromp on it in little bursts or it will die. Sometimes it will also die when i corner but not be on the gas. It doesnt stall often but if i dont let on the gas, it will want to die out, it does this everytime now. Ive jst changed the fuel filter to no avail. I have 200k on my car. Thanks for any input. I can answer any relevant questions you have to help with the diagnosis.
you can take it to autozone and they will tell you what code its throwing for free. but the car has 200k on it. probably time for a tune up...plugs and wires and air filter. and its most likely caked with carbon so that needs cleaned adventually. just take it to autozone in the morning and let them take a look at it. i don't think you have any mods...do you?
