My mom has a 2000 cavalier 2.2 and she says she uses the cruise control a few times a week and now all of a sudden it just stopped working. So, I tried it out and sure enough it doesn't work. What could cause it to stop working all of a sudden?
Yeah, that would've been smart to check first.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the fuse. The fuse is fine. Any other suggestions as to why the Cruise Control would stop working?
Have you checked the cruise control cable going to the throttlebody?
Could also be the control modual or the turn signal assembly..
I'll have to check those out. Last question, will it pass inspection with out it?
Should, it wont cause the car to be unsafe. It is just a creature comfort.

odd ball thing and it never caused the cruise to go completely out but if i had a bad signal bulb the cruise would go out when hitting the stalk to change lanes.
maybe something in that system screwing it up.
