i'm just posting this because i didn't find anything when i tried searching for it.....figured this would make things a bit easier for those needing to bypass the a/c compressor.....this is the belt size i used....
WHEN I'M GOD, EVERYONE DIES
If not using the A/C, The just order the belt that is listed for no a/c it should work.
I sure hope to jebus you do not paint your nails, or that your a bish with big hands that likes to work on cars.
Looks like a big dirty bruise
Your thunb does look bad
but is this the belt for the a/c bypass pulley, or did you re-route your belt with the compressor still intact? Pics of it installed would be great! my ac doesnt work, but I dont want to take my compressor off cuz I am going to get it fixed this summer...

HAHAHAHAHA!!!....the painted nails are leftover from holloween....
anywho...i probably should have mentioned that i have a '00 2.4l...and there isn't a non a/c belt available.......
didn't use a a/c bypass pulley....belt only goes around crank and alternator....and getting a decent pic with the motor in the car is useless....so here's a VERY crude sketch....
WHEN I'M GOD, EVERYONE DIES
and i should also mention that you're going to have to loosen the alternator to get the belt on...don't bother trying to move the tensioner to get the belt on....and you're going to need a little leverage bolting the alternater back in place because the belt fits pretty snug....i have to replace my starter later this morning...i'll take a picture explaining more of what i mean about the leverage....

Hmmmm, the pic would be great, but I do appreciate the sketch tough... Thanks for the detailed info on loosening the alt. I will try this once I get my lightweight crank pulley. Thanks!

i just dont understand how you didnt find anything on it... its been all over these boards. both the 345k5 and 350k5 are the recomended ones, depending on how you route.

upon inspection on my ld9, I see that if I were to route it that way, it seems as if the belt would be VERY close to the timing chain cover bolts. like 2-3mm. Have you had any rubbing issues so far?

the belt's not going to run any closer to the timing chain cover bolts than they already have been....but no....no rubbing issues.....
