I own a 2004 Pontiac sunfire the two spark plugs closest to the passenger side have a light brown powder on them the other two spark plugs are perfect what does this powder mean. Is it normal?

Different oil additives, gasoline detergents and additives will leave various colors on spark plug
electrodes and ceramics.

I have experienced deposits almost "fire engine red". My mecanic said, "Don't worry about it and
explained what it was."

Okay that makes me feel better about the powder but why would it only be on two and not all of them, the evap canister needs to be replaced on the car so would this cause this.

Just a wild guess, your ignition wires are needing replacement.....but you need someone

with experience to ask you for lots of information and do some tests.....
