Friday, July 03, 2009 10:41 AM
I have a 2000 cavi with a 2.2 ohv i recently put in. I used my starter that is good and put on there. I have 5 wires...2 fusible links, 1 from the battery, 1 small red one and a small black one. i had the the 2 small wires going to the small post then the other 3 to the bigger post on top...it will try to crank there but wont..kinda lags. If I jump the posts it will start just fine. Anyone have any pics or can help asap??

Bad vehicle wireing? has the vehicle been sitting a while not being used?

Before I changed the motor it was sitting for about 9 months or so. Now when I try to jump it will hit for a minute then free spin. I think my starter maybe bad

If it stops raining i'll go out and take a look at mine. I had similar problems as you, took off the starter and some of the wire were corroed at the connectors and they fell off. Took me about two days to figure that crap out.
