So a few months ago I snapped a motor mount bolt after replacing my motor mount. No problem...I took it to a shop to have it repaired. What I got back was a button weld strait down the middle of my motor mount were the bolt used to be (forward bolt). Ill get some pics up here in a bit but it pretty much ruined the bolt hole and motor mount.
My question is how do I go about properly repairing this (if there is a proper way)? If I do have to just "live with it" how hard will it be to change out the clutch etc? I guess I could always just drill the weld out and have it rewelded.
Needless to say I am not happy about it.
Any help would be appreciated!
Josh
It'll be tomorrow before I can get pics up FYI.
... if u took it to the shop and they flat out @!#$ it up... personally i'd take it back to them and raise hell
change subframe's... ( that is if you are talking about the lower dogbone that is )
Unfortunately it was the upper motor mount. The weld is In the bolt hole closest to the front. I should have pictures soon if I can get this card reader to work right.
You can buy the whole bracket with the mount.
