What would the best Synthetic oil for a 97' 2.2 with 125,000 miles be? I was looking at both Valvoline Max Life, and mobil 1 High mileage. What really is the best?

Do a search for Bobs the Oil guy, they seem to talk alot about oil.
On my 96 Sunfire with 125000 km (Canadian), the car seems to run better with an oil change at the dealer ship so whatever oil GM is using.

GM uses just regular old oil, unless you specify otherwise I would assume. I managed 3 Pennzoil's and don't really like Pennzoil....

I use Mobil1. Full synthetic 5W-30.

If you want the best oil go with either Royal Purple or Amsoil....be prepared to pay for it though...my Cavy loves the purple stuff.... Do you currently use synthetic oil or conventional? If conventional you may want to start with a blend rather than going straight to synthetic with that many miles.

Cavalier z24......A poor man's Camaro....close enough, right?

Valvoline Maxlife will do you just fine and not break the bank. You could easily run that oil 5000 miles with a good filter.
