Ok I will try to explain this to the best of my ability. My gf left her lights on and thought that she killed her battery so I hooked my car up to hers and let it get a good charge. This is a 2002 2.2L Ecotec by the way. Well I turned the key and it doesn't seem to want to start. I know the battery isn't dead because it is holding a charge. All I get when I turn the key is the car trying to turn over but won't. I am thinking it is the Ignition control module. It sounds strong I guess you could say when trying to turn over but won't. Any help would be great...Thanks
The fuel is all good and am gonna check the compression but would it be the spark plugs if thats what you mean, i don't see how it would be. Also is there anyway to check the ignition control without it connected to the car?
You say it's "holding a charge"... I'm interested in how you checked this. A weak battery can still hold a charge, but might not have enough current to be useful. Does the car successfully turn over while being boosted?

Yes I have tried to start it with my car and a different car hooked to it. Still would not start. The battery is fairy new also, maybe a year and a half old.
swap your batterys quick if possible?
Swaped the batteries, still have the same thing is happening.
try getting a new starter maybe?
