Front end shaking when accelerating
Thursday, July 16, 2009 5:33 PM
Since yesterday, My front end has been shaking real bad when I accelerate out of 1st or 2nd gear. It could be all gears that it does it with, but I have not tried yet because I dont want to mess anything up. The car is a 2000 cavalier standard & has 130,000 miles on it and has not done this before. It shakes the whole front dashboard & everything. Could it be the motor mount maybe? Just a guess. When it's idling, it has no issue at all.

possible motor mount, cv axle or front suspension bushing. chrysler had a terrible time with INNER cv shaft trunions going bad causing torque vibration. doesnt have to have a torn boot either
