Ok car is a 01 Z24. Car has 105k on it. Fuel pump was replaced about 3 years ago with a used 02 fuel pump. Recently been having starting issues after car sits a couple days. Thought it could be fuel pump not holding pressure.

Saturday drive car to my parents about 30 miles away. Car sat there most of the day. Started it up took a friend for a ride, made some hard pulls no problems. Went to head home got about 8 miles away car shuts off. roll into gas station and hear no fuel pump. I swap ac and fuel pump relay car starts. Go to leave shuts off and will not start again. Swap relays back car starts. Drive around parking lot @!#$s off again. Finally it would not restart. Tested for power going to the relay was getting it. Tested for power leaving the relay was getting it. I end up trailoring the car home. Sunday afternoon I go out to move the car, decide to turn key and hear fuel pump kick on. Start the car all is good. I let it run for about 30 minutes no problems. @!#$ it off for 10 minutes and restart no problems.

Monday the car sits did not mess with it. yesterday go out to start it fuel pump not turning on no start. Today I go out turn the key on pump kicks on. Car is currently running no problems.

has anyone had this problem before? Does it sound like fuel pump? I have never had one die and then come back. Only just die and be done.

Well update. Fuel pump is not bad. With the help of a friend was able to find that I'm not getting a ground signal. So it is either the ECU, or a bad ground somewhere.
