I have a 2005 manual transmission Cavalier with almost 40,000 miles. whenever i accelerate i hear what sounds almost like a brake squeal but its not because i just changed the brakes. i hear the noise in second, third, fourth. and fifth gear. it really rings around 2100 to 2500 rpm. ive had it into the shop and they have no idea what it is. any help would be appreciated

exhaust leak at braided flex? i had a kia that did that in the shop. good luck

i dont think its an exhaust leak. it only squeals when im driving down the road. i dont hear the noise when the car is sitting still.
