I've searched all over this forum didn't quite find what I was looking for, the fuel pump quit on my cavalier this spring, did not stress it much I got other cars, but I do need to deal with it before winter, I was hoping I could find a good pump and reuse the sending unit, found some info on here but mostly mods, for beter flow, turbos. I just need a good stock pump, I only found whole sending units, dealer wants $450. parts stores $250 but those are crap, any sugestions?

They're all over ebay for practically nothing. You can also get a basic Walbro pump for a HECK of a lot cheaper than the prices you posted. Not to mention it's an upgrade over stock.

tha't odd, I only seen one type on ebay, $90, only one seller, as for the walboro, I am not necesarily looking for an upgrade as I do not have any performance mods, I would not mind it, I am not sure if it will work well with stock setup, this is the kind of info I am looking for, where does one get a walboro (walboro.com?)

here's what I found so far:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/basket.php?add_item_id=10571901
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-FUEL-PUMP-REPAIR-KIT-2002-CHEVROLET-CAVALIER-MU1253_W0QQitemZ260458765698QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3ca48d5d82&_t rksid=p4506.c0.m245

anybody ever used such? do you know of others ( not for an ls1 v8 )?, would it hurt running a biger pump with no other mods?? these are questions I have.
