I was doing a engine bay check for all fluids, filters etc, and when i checked my battery levels, i noticed the the 2 end pltes for + and - had practically no water in them.
o o o o o o those the 6 holes, each end one looked empty. My question is should i bother filling those up and then putting a full charge on my battery or mayby just by a new one, im not sure how long it has been like that, all i know if my car starts instantly everytime.. so mayby just fil it up with distilled water>??
Just top off the water level so that it is level with bottom of tube where it would be full.Heat and cold cause the water to vent out as normal.I would not worry this is what all batteries do.I routinely check my batt fluid level once a month and wipe the moisture away at the caps to prevent a mess and the acid from getting on anything.Unless the battery is old or close its age of going just check the voltage with a meter to ensure u have at least 12 -13 volts key off it varies then normal if running like 13.5 -14 volts running.U should be ok.Hope this helps give you some insight on this. And yes distilled works I use my well water not filled with all the crap like normal city water.
