have you recently changed your stereo from the stock one? And if so, did you use the correct harness?

well i wouldnt say recently, but last year sometime i put in a JVC unit with the wiriring harness, i dont like hack and slash wiring jobs. it was kinda in and out before that, but id definately say it hasnt worked since the new radio

Assuming your car is 2002+ and you used the harness with the extra box, that shouldn't be the cause. I only asked because I've heard if you swap the radio and don't use that harness/box, your door chimes, gauges, etc won't work correctly.

Other than that, does the dome light come on with the dimmer but not the doors, or not at all?

the car is a 97, there are no dome lights or door chimes, cannot turn it on using the switch on the dash.
the fuse is good but there is no power to it, thinking a shorted wire or something somewhere along the line

check the brown wire behind your stereo, if its not hooked up, your dash wont work, my car had a hack wiring job i had to fix when i bought it, and that was one of my issues.

no brown wire = no speedo, but i never thought about the dome light, since the bulb was burned out anyways.
