my question is does hpt tuners read off the same speed sensor as the speedo in your stock cluster because my speedo hasn't been working at all this week once in awhile it jumps around but then last night i plug in hpt and it can tell me how fast im going.

so my question would be do i replace the cluster or the speed sensor?

yeah, it reads the factory VSS im pretty sure.
