Timing Question

I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2 OHV and im wondering if it is possible to advance/retard the stock motor and if so how?

No, timing hasnt been adjustable for about twenty years.

This goes back to when distributor were used, moving the distributor, would either advance or retard timing depending which way you rotated the distributor.

not unless they make a programmer for your style car (i don't think they do but they might) but why do you wanna mess with your timing is the question...

ive never worked on an OHV, but dont they have dizzys?

sorry im all 2.4 and eco, and ive only been under the hood a ohv about twice, so i cant really remember, but i remember being spark plug wires?

Okay....just because it has wires doesnt mean it has a distributor, they have a coil pack.
