Just because...GM bypass pulley 2.3L p/n # 22533199

lol thats why im doing it, winter is around the corner anyways, so this is a cheap temp fix until next year.

Thanks MD-Enforcer, I actually searched and didnt find anything. I did read up on the belts and ended up going with a 350k5. To many people were having problems with the 245 making noise and said the 350k5 was a bit better. Still made some noise over time but alot better then the 245

I bought a belt 350k5 too. I'm battling a number 1 cylinder miss right now, I haven't tackled the belt yet. I found a forum that had pictures let me see if I can find it.

Here it is a/c delete

Thanks Misnblu thats a nice write up.

SEARCH SOME.

"No bypass Pulley".... belt size should be 345K5, but it doesn't fit use a 350K5 belt. All belt manufacturers are different. You might need a longer size belt.

Also...
GM bypass pulley 2.4L p/n # 24574519
Just because...GM bypass pulley 2.3L p/n # 22533199
Hope that helps. Also removing all your ac junk I mean lines, pump, condensers and all...... only weight in at 33 pounds. FYI.
I have run my 2.4 with the bypass pulley and just a belt. I have had better luck with the bypass pulley, and stock belt.

Ok, I installed the belt last night (350k5) I tried to install the 345k5 on it and it was almost impossible. It was way to tight. So I swapped it for the 350 and went on pretty easy. Its still pretty tight but a lot better then the 345. Only problem is that this morning when I went to pull out from a red light it screeched really bad for about 15 seconds then it was fine all the way to work. I wonder if it because its a new belt. Hope that doesnt happend all the time. Anyone else had this problem?

When I was searching someone said they had that problem, They just put on belt dressing every once in a while.

I tried the 350k5 it was pain to get on, but it was way to loose. So I exchanged it for the 345k5 and I unbolted the alternator almost all the way and popped the belt on then just tightened the alternator down.

Quiet as can be now
