Cars a 97 sunfire 2.2l works great until warmed up then when your on the throttle u hit a flat spot, anything under 3/4 pedal if u hold it there it turns into a flat spot. Anyone know what might be the cause of this? car has new fuel filter, pump, another regulator.
Also car is running lean.
just put a new 02 in, car had just been tuned up, and 150psi across all cylinders.
what brand o2 sensor? also, try to find someone who has a scan tool that can real live data, see what the TPS reads through its sweep.

I am having the same exact problem with my 1995 2.2. it does it between about 2k to around 2,500 or so. i changed o2, only things i did not replace are egr, knock sensor and the fuel pump. I tryed everything.. I was thinking a broken wire somewhere. i dont know. Seems to do it worse when its humid out and only when gar is warmed up Any Ideas????
Did you get the memo about the TPS reports?
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
I have a Bosch o2. I replaced tps also. I have 190psi compression on all 4 if that matters.

could easily be the problem. the only thing bosch makes that's any good is wiper blades.

If its a Bosch sensor just throw it away.
Replace your cig. lighter fuse.
replaced the cig lighter fuse, only codes i got were for the sensors i disconnected when i relocated the coilpacks to where the airbox was, and the car ran the same way before i did this, also the coilpacks were replaced. It only does it when the car is at operating temp, what sensors does the car ignore in open loop?
Turns out its the tps sensor.
