im replacing my break shoes on a 2003 and in the haynes manual, it says there should be a c lip. but on the pads i removed and the new ones i bought there is not one. the braket for the e brake cable is pressed on. i know this has been asked before, i did a search on my problem, but the topic i located told me nothing at the end of it...

also the metal bar that is the shape of a funny looking w is broke in half i wonder if the wrong pads where put on and this cause it to snap.

ether way i can not get the freaking e cable to hook back on to this bracket
