Passenger side fender. pull the wheel well liner out (includes part that goes under the bumper cover) and its right in there. Does not really sound like the PCM to me though.

If he's a top mechanic, why are you asking here? He should know where the PCM is. If there's a short at the fuel pump, it wouldn't even prime.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

"found that I a short back in two of the wires that go to my new fuel pump so he thinks its the PCM"

If you have a short in the wires that go back to the fuel pump how is it a bad PCM? Use your brain and think about it. if the wires that go to and from the PCM were tested through the PCM (never tried this and doubt it would actually happen) and it was shorted regardless of key position then there may be something. However I have never tried such a test for a fuel pump control circuit (especially since the PCM controls a relay that then controls the pump circuit) so I dont know what the expected outcome would be. Maybe you have a bad fuel pump, or a pinched wire, or a short to ground, or a bad relay, or...........

If you want to just listen to him without first checking all the wiring by itself then go ahead and buy a new PCM and pay to have it programed. Just dont be surprised if it does not fix the issue.

The car is cranking but just won't catch it just seems like there is no fuel going from the pump to the engine ,we tested all the fuse's and the relays, put a new pump in and still will not start . So I will check the wires and see if any are pinched and try to test the wires in between before buying a new pcm .I def need to get a ignition switch and key cause my key is wore down and the where u put the key in is a little messed up so I will try this crap first and then go from there.

Sounds like your master tech buddy needs to learn how to diagnose before throwing parts at a car.

K well besides the friend thing all aside , so what do I really need to as far as testing to see why the pump is not getting power thats all I need to know I guess, so can someone actually give me more of a straight answer insted of the run around ones.I don't care who is a master or not. I have just put in a new pump checked the relay and fuse's they all are working but the pump must not be getting power so what do I do as far asgetting the thing POWER ?? I know for a fact that the pump is not sending fuel up to the rail!!!!

Does it do the initial prime? You'll definitely hear it do its thing.

YH I dont hear anything when I turn the key, my Theft system light stays on it doesnt blink or do anything but I think that the problem is that my key is very worn out and I have to get a new key from the dealership..
