Super Swap Pullin the motor

So i had recently blown up the motor in my 97 z24 5spd and i am currently in the process of pulling the motor. I was wondering what the best wAy to do this was..do you split motor from tranny and pull it out the top. and where do you split it at? I also have a haynes manual but it is a my grandpas house which i am getting tom. Please Reply with anything that will help me

I drop everything from the bottom.

2.4 will come out the top or you ban drop it out the bottom. you split it where the engine meets the trans.

i split them all and pull them from the top keep in mind if its a 5spd you have to offset the chain on the hoist the passenger side of the engine should pull up higher then to trans side this way the clutch will pull out of the trans this doesn't apply to autos as you can unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate. also when doing this jack up the bottom of the trans so when the motor frees itself the trans doesn't comes slamming down
