I own a 1998 sun fire with the factory electric sunroof/moonroof, the day before yesterday it had rained all night, when I went out to my car the floor pan on the passenger side was covered in water looks like someone dumped a bottle of water on it, nothing else was wet, ceiling, around the sunroof, dash, the weather stripping, seats everything was dry, just the carpet, where you would set your feet, the carpet that starts going up the fire wall is dry, just the flat section of carpet is soaked, has like half an inch of water on it, now yesterday I dried it all out and hoped that I had just left the door opened a crack but then last night it rained and once again the floor is soaked. I made sure that I had the door shut tight, checked the weather stripping and it looks like it had a good seal. the windows were up the sunroof was shut. My only guess is that it might be the drain hoses for the sunroof but if these had a crack wouldn't it show somewhere else like on the ceiling. Please help I have no ideas where this is coming from, and no someone didn't dump water on it because I am the only one with the key and I always keep the doors locked. so if anyone else had this problem or know of someone who has please help me. Sit in your car and have someone spray sections with a hose. look for dripping water, That's where I would start.
