No matter what i out the selector on it only blows on the face vents. I figure its a vacuum problem, but I dont know where to find the vacuum lines. please help i need my defrost in the morning
I had the same problem and it had nothing to do with the vacuum lines. There is a braided cable that connects from the back of the HVAC selector to the duct work and as you turn the selector the ducts open and close allowing air to blow through different vents. In my case the cable got bent too many times back and forth and broke. If you get down into the passenger side with a flashlight you should be able to see behind that HVAC and locate that cable, if it is broken or worn out then that is your problem. They sell it at NAPA for less than $15, you have to take the dash and HVAC bezel off to replace it but I think most of us have done that enough times to not be too afraid to try. Hope that helps.
I had a similar problem with the temp adjustment knob and it turned out the knob was broken. Pull off the knob and see if it's cracked.
