needing to swap a fuel pump in my car,i know it's located in the tank,but was wondering if its accessable from underneath the rear bench?or if the only way to replace this is to drop the tank? if anyone has had experience with this,please give insight....it would be great!!!!

dropping the tank isn't that bad. there is no way to get to it from inside the car.

I changed mine on my Z with just myself a piece of plywood (to distribute the weight) and a jack to raise and lower the tank. My first time took about an hour, I know I could do it much faster now!
