hey just in need of a little help... i believe i have a air pocket in my cooling system and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on removing all of the air out of the cavaliers.... thanks very much
I've heard a few different ways, running the car with the cap off and jacking up the right side of the car was what I did to remove my air pocket after changing coolant/hoses.
FOR SALE
You need to jack up the front of the vehicle, use a spill free funne in place of the radiator cap, wait till it stops bubbleing and you are done
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new
No need to jack up the front of the car, Just take off youre resivivor cap when the engine is cold, Then allow the motor to run in total for 15 mins, Rev feather the engine to 1,000 rpm for 2 mins on 1 min off for idle, as listed with 15 mins the air will be removed from the cooling system. Ive done this everytie on my cavalier it works.
Good Luck.
