Ok here is the deal, This question is about my winter car. 2000 cavalier. 2.2 car. stock everything with 134,000 miles. Yesterday I drive it to work and all is well. 10 hours later start it to drive home. Car runs for 2 seconds and shuts off.
Try to start it again and nothing at all. no noise, no clicking. nothing. Turn key back to accessory and radio plays, headlights work, dome light works. but wont even try to crank.
Things i have tried.
Tested battery and all is well. jumped the starter with a screw driver to make sure it wasnt froze up, That got the car to crank but it would not start.
When i turn the key to the on position no dash lights come on. I checked all the fuses in the car and under the hood and all are good.
Anyone ever have this happen before that could maybe give me a few ideas of what i am dealing with her.
Is the Theft light on steady or blinking? Try passlock relearn if it is.
no the theft light wasnt on. I tried to track down lose or brokin wires for about 8 hours and cant find anything. For some reason the ignation isnt getting power to it. But cant find any real reason why in the wiring
so the icm isnt getting power or are you just not getting any spark?
