I removed all the bolts and the oil pan doesnt want to budge. any tips or something I may have missed.
Why O why wont it move?
Also, do I have to remove the coolant tube, any way to slip around the coolant pipe? Looks like 2 bolts right below the exhaust manifold.
did you try prying, maybe someone used some rtv as a gasket?
yeah shoved some screw drivers into the sides.......i double checked all the bolts.
No lower engine mounts in the way?
Get a big flatblade screwdriver in there, or a crowbar and tap it with a rubber mallet....
When I recently dropped my pan, it was a pain and took about 10 minutes to bang it off.
I just did an oil pan gasket job on a 97 Z24, I had the same issue. I just used a rubber mallet on it work like a charm.
