girlfriend has a 1999 grand am. the low coolant light came on so i aded some coolant. The cap that is on the resivor tank has two parts. 1 is the cap itself and when i took the cap off there was another black piece that was on top of the threads for the cap. this piece wouldn't unscrew, lift or anything it was stuck in the opening. after some prying this piece broke and there was a spring in there. any idea what this piece was for thanks.....
