Hi all, I have a problem that is becoming serious. It has started getting hot, so I'm using the A/C a little. The car is a 2004 cavalier with a manual.
I'm used to the idle flare problem some have had with these. Now something new has started. When I put in the clutch with the A/C on, the revs will drop to under 500, the car will almost stall, then they shoot up to 1000, and back to 500. It'll literaly bounce like this up and down until I put it back in gear and give it gas. It doesn't do this all the time, generally only when the engine is not up to full temp.
Any ideas? Idle air control valve? I could really use some help with this.
Thanks.
Forgot to mention, it occasionaly will die when doing this, meaning I lose power steering and brakes!!!
