Well, anything is possible with the right tools and know how. So I imagine you could wire in a red LED, but they do sell that bulb in colours, I got 2 red ones for about $4 at crappy tire.

It is not hard to change the bulb if you are handy with a screw driver. Although you do have to remove the entire center console unfortunately.

-Remove the trim screw in front of your cup holders.

-Pop out your power window switches/coin thing and take out the screw out you see in there.

-Open up your center console and take out the two screws in the bottom.

-Lift the center console right out of the car, now you can see a plastic box with a harness going up to it, near your shifter.

-Twist this out the harness and you will find your burnt out bulb.

-Replace the bulb and put everything back together.

Hope this helps if you haven't already figured it out, pretty simple job, figured I would type it out so it might help someone in the future who runs a search..

Thanks Mike for typing it out. You were right, I did a search here to figure out what was involved in changing the bulb and your post popped right up.
