Today i realized the 4-5" vacuum line from the MAP sensor to the intake manifold has completely collapsed.. would help explain some drive-ability issues i've been having..
Anyways... Does anyone know offhand what diameter line i need to replace it? Its totally flattened on the car and im afraid to remove it to check as it likely wont go back on and its my only car.. lol
Thanks
1/8'' id should work, just take the line to the auto parts and match it up.
yeah.. 1/8" seems the most likely.. just afraid to yank it off until i have the replacement.. or at least be at the store that has it.. lol
It just makes me laugh.. i've been banging my head off the wall trying to figure this out.. i thought i looked over all the lines, my mechanic did the propane test and couldnt find a leak.. only ever acted up after being on the highway so that lead me down one road... then i realized it was only once the car was warm, so down another i go...
Now i see this and realize it... car warms up, more specifically, that hose warms being right by the rad and collapses... But only fails once it gets warm, so the canadian winter can make the problem very intermitent.. lol... and the propane test shows nothing because its not leaking, just sucked closed... plus being hidden under all the other sensors wiring doesnt help...
a cheap fix at least.. and hopefully the end of my headaches so i can finally enjoy my new car...lol
cant find vacuum lines the right size, what the F? lol. going ghetto with the windshield washer hose for the time being
have 7/32" line... a bit too tight, gonna grab some 9/32" and that should be it... figures its some oddball size, 1/8" woulda been too convenient.. haha
Well glad you found your problem,it seems its always something simple.
