For about 4 months at random my 98 2.2 will sort of hiccup while cruising. Its just for a split second. At first I thought it was the trans screwing up. It felt like it was unlocking and locking the tq converter real fast. After experiencing it more I'm thinking its fuel or spark cutting out. It only happens at light throttle in 3rd gear. It doesn't happen often; either not at all or twice every 100 miles or so. Anyone have this happen or know what it could be? I was going to change the fuel filter on a hunch. No codes.

i had that problem with my 2.4, but it was a loose idi cover.... maybe check the spark wires?

All the plug wires are good and on right, only about 25k on them. Everything looks good under the hood... Still stumped.
