Weird Vibrations

Car is a 99 Z24 5 Speed.

Just last week the car starting haveing a weird vibration.
It only happens when accelerating WHILE MOVING, doesnt do it from a stop.

Say going down the freeway and I go to pass someone, I step on the gas and the car starts shaking pretty bad. As soon as I let off the gas the vibrations stop.

Have had the wheels rotated and rebalanced, no change.
Checked all 4 wheel bearings, all good, no play.
Have TTR upper mount, checked to make sure wasnt loose.
Checked lower dog bone mount to make sure wasnt loose.
New brakes all around, new rotors and drums.

The drivers side transmission mount seems to have some stress cracks in it, but they have been there for a long time with no issues.

My only thoughts are either the transmission mounts finally got worse or something in the front suspension.

Just seems weird to me that it ONLY HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATING WHILE MOVING and NOT FROM A STOP.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Thomas

Hmm.. What's up Thomas.

This has me stumped too. Something with the belt maybe, or an issue inside the tranny.

maybe something as simple as an exhaust hanger being loose or broken. my car vibbed funny when my rear hanger let go.

I had that happen to me , it was a inner C/V joint that was going bad . I replaced the axle and the vibration stopped .

heck we had that like two weeks ago on way to baltimore turned out we just had the car inspected and they pulled the left front wheel and 4 of 5 lugs were loose. we tightened them all good. check the lugs all around.

Here is an update in case someone does a search lookign for an answer.

The problem turned out to be the front transmission mount. Metal sleeve had separated from the rubber lettign the motor rock around.

Put the poly mounts in both and shes good.
